This building is on the corner of the rue Réaumur and the rue St.-Denis. The latter is one of the centers of the Parisian sex industry, while the surrounding area is full of wholesale clothing manufacturers. It seemed especially appropriate to the location that the half-naked caryatids frame two photographs of women in revealing clothing.
