Clowning in London

On feb 3 there was a service at Holy Trinity Church Dalston East London to celebrate the life of Joseph Grimaldi (1778-1837)regarded as the greatest British clown.This is an annual event that has been going since 1946 it moved to Holy Trinity in 1959 ,and the clowns have been allowed to wear their costumes since 1967.
