Zhou Zhuang is an ancient town near Shanghai. In the old days, people went and come through water ways and sang their folk songs when sailing. Nowadays local people transport their goods by both water and land. Tourists have to pay for the singing of folk songs during their sightseeing on a boat rent. The photos here were taken in 2003 and all with DSLR Canon D60 and post-processed with adobe photoshop.
It is a treat for all of us to see the Venice of China. Would love to be able to shoot there one day. We never know when these wonderful, traditional towns will disappear under the weight of progress. Thanks for sharing with us!
