I know this is still pretty far away for a bird shot.
Full zoom at 300mm.
But I like the look of the bare tree and the background, with the little guy in profile.

Wonderful shot of this pretty Flicker! It really IS a great composition, Brian. Beautiful light, colors, and details. Love the trees, and the few scattered leaves hanging on. Nice background too....

Size doesn't matter!!! Excellent background to show up little details in the flicker (?). I think the scene works beautifully.

Yes, you should have a 600mm if you were going bird hunting, but this is clear and detailed, and the colours of the bird blends in very well and makes this a good image IMO.
