Rolls was the partner to Henry Royce, founders of the famous Rolls Royce company, started in 1904.
A keen balloonist and flyer he founded the Aero Club in 1903.
Unfortunately, he became the first Englishman to be killed in a plane crash, at Bournemouth, in 1910.
