Easter Island January 2013

I have wanted to visit Rapa Nui ever since I read Kon Tiki as a teenager. The mystery and remoteness of the island finally called loud enough and we signed up for the Road Scholar trip which took us to Santiago, Chile for a day and then on to Easter Island for 5 days. The weather was warm and humid and we got rain (sometimes lots of it) every day. On tropical islands photography is tough. A wide range of brightness and little in the way of oblique angels. I hope my efforts do the place justice.
