Peru & Machu Picchu - Dec 2005

This is the first leg of our journey to South America to escape winter in December 2005. We landed in Lima on Dec 6 and spent a few days visiting this capital city. Then we flew to Cuzco, the historical capital at an elevation of 11000 feet, for the rest of our stay in Peru. From Cuzco we visited several Inca ruin sites including the best of all: Machu Picchu!
