In October 2014 we traveled to France for our first extended stay. The 70th anniversary of the D-Day landings at Normandy had just concluded and we wanted to visit the many historic sights there. We then boarded a riverboat on The Seine, traveling first to Giverny the location of many of Monet's paintings and then on to Paris where we soaked up the sights and sounds for a few days.
