Hovenweep National Monument

We had reached our farthest east desitination when we arrived at Hovenweep National Monument. Hovenweep is a collection of Ancestral Puebloan ruins which were part of the Chaco Canyon, NM system. They were inhabited between roughly 700 AD and 1300 AD although there is evidence of earlier human settlements in the area.
