We began our vacation on Wednesday, June 30 and headed towards Palo Duro Canyon. About 40 miles east of Amarillo on Interstate 40 sits the Leaning Water Tower and then right past that is The Cross Ministries with a 190 foot tall cross and life-sized statues of Jesus as he begins His journey to the cross. Each marker explains the next statue. It is magnificent - if you're in the area, don't miss it.
We made our first visit to Palo Duro Canyon and drove through the park that evening - absolutely beautiful, and who would have thought such grand scenery can be found in Texas.

Brenda, Thank you so much for letting us go on vacation with you and Steve. Your pictures are wonderful. I haven't viewed them all yet, but I'm going to do that. We looked at the ones you took at "The Cross". I could not keep from shedding tears at the memorial for the unborn. So awesome and so heart wrenching. What an awesome God we serve.Love to you both.... Sylvia
