Port Fourchon

A double rig trawler docked in Port Fourchon. I love the light and shadows in this shot. An interesting note is that the boat is not riding that high out of the water but is actually sitting on the bottom. The reason is that the tide is that low. We have been having strong west winds lately and the tides have been nonexistent.

Very nice! Great lighting! It's amazing to me that it's sitting on the bottom!

There's something of great interest in small fishing boats - the bravery of the men who go to sea etc. Nice capture

Beautiful boat!

Thats a bold color of green for a boat, not a color I see on the water every day.
I like the color, and a nice shot indeed

Agree with the below comments.
Question for you, tho. Does it have to wait for the right wind (and tide) for it to be able to get out?? Sounds like days of old :)
