Walking on the Batture

Montz

I took this shot to test the wide angle aspect of my lens. It does a very good job I think. I was standing on the batture shooting up the levee towards the fire house. That is Elaine and Go Home walking along the batture.

Looks like it does a great job at both extremes Breland. Good lens. Now tell them about lagniappe and the neutral ground. ;^)

NIce shot. Looks like a very nice day. Thanks to Ed for looking up "batture". Gayle already had me checking my two Mac dictionaries, with no luck.

Great landscape with that little spot of blue in the middle of the field. Nice lens. Nice job.

Nice sky and I like the barn on the horizon. And of course Elaine and go home. Looks like the lens does a great job.

Very nice wide-angle shot. Like the clouds and the open field here.

Is this the Allligator place :) Good sharp pic Bre, but don't let Elaine be telling fibs now :)

I like how the clouds have taken on the cold of the grass. Hi there Elaine & Go Home !!

So, according to Elaine, that's her best side, huh? Looks like she's lagging behind Go Home. Looks like wide open country which I somehow didn't expect from your region.

You had me running for my dictionary which didn't include batture. Next I checked the internet where I found that it is the inward slope of the levee to the river itself. Never to old to learn. Nice job with that new lens, Breland

Love the extreme wide angle! Great mood with the colors and clouds!

Coleen Perilloux Landry 02-Jan-2006 02:50
LOL at Elaine. You surely do have a wide angle here.

There is a strange contrast in the clouds and those yellowish tones make it exciting. You managed to keep nice and straight for a wide angle shot. Very nice Breland

It was a wonderful walk! I see you got my best side :)
