Bosque del Apache Refuge

We had another wonderful morning at the Bosque del Apache Wildlife Refuge. These two Sandhills were having a little trouble taking off from a frozen pond. They are so beautiful to watch in flight. Be sure to view Gayle's Gallery at http://www.pbase.com/gpc/birdsbosque

You have captured a moment in time that I have always enjoyed watching. I have often observed water birds appear to "walk on water " as they depart their water enviornment and become creatures of the sky...great job Breland...
