Stump in Pond

Bonnie Carrie Spillway

Caught this reflection in a small pond in the spillway yesterday. I liked all the different textures and colors.

The water is like a mirror. I love the angles of the wood opposite each other. Really nice photo.

A beautiful reflection indeed Breland. Nikon always does well with these shots.

This is excellent, Breland. Cannot believe how still the water is. I like the textures and reflections.

I like it too Breland!
Very cool with the reflection in the glassy water surface!

Even though your subject is in the middle of your image, it works for me, because it show cases the stumps reflection and the sky, I also like the way the post and its reflection forms a V which draws your eye back to the main subject...nice job Breland...

I tried to crop left then right and could not decide what to give up, so it was back to the original.

The textures and color are wonderful. I can see why you liked it, I do, too. That water is very still...

I love the sky captured in the water. I agree with Ron on the centering suggestion.

Hey Bre,

What's this, you going artistic on us!!!!! You will find this type of photography is a good fill for the long winter months without any wildlife. I might suggest on these types of images, don't place the focal point directly in the center of the image. Probably in this case, placing it a little to the left of center would improve the composition. Remember, it's all about light and composition!!!!!!!!!!!

Wouldn't be able to tell up from down on this Bre--it's perfect.
