Butterfly Iris_0480

Montz, Louisiana

The Butterfly Iris’s through out the yard are starting to bloom but the wind is taking its tool on these delicate plants. This was the best out of five that bloomed this morning. I hope to get a perfect one this weekend. Sorry I have not been following everyone's pictures but I have been coming home from work exhausted. It doesn't take me long to go to sleep holding my lap top. That is about as close as I get. Oh well two more months and this project will be complete. Also Gayle is home now to take care of me.

Know the feeling, it is great to have a wife like ours. Is that iris anything like what they call a walking iris? It is beautiful.

This is so clear Breland. I suppose they don't last once picked either. Still they are worth having for a short time I imagine.

Hope you're not talking about your PaD project Breland, cause it's never complete :)
A beautiful iris, I'm sure all the winds will calm down, now that Gayle's back.

Nice shot of this tiny flower, Breland. You didn't look any the worse for wear when I saw you this afternoon.
