Montz, Louisiana

Took a walk to the backend of our property and found this spider lily in full bloom. We call them spider lilies but they are a form of wild crinum.

I like the way you caought the flower standing out over the dark green background. All along the tracks from the yard to Michoud they're in bloom. Great photo.

Breland, I love this. They have been herbicided so much that we have only a few left. Today, one of our guests came back with a handful of the blooms from the coulee' and said "Miss Coleen, look what I found." Ahhhhgggg.

They are beautiful but quite poisonous too aren't they Breland ? love this against the darkness of the leaves.
