Gayle and I got up at 3:30 AM today and went to Lake Martin again. It is getting to be an easy drive now and well worth the trip. This future mother is carefully turning her eggs every half hour or so. I took this same bird 2 weeks ago she must have just started setting her eggs (see http://www.pbase.com/bre/image/40429132). There are a lot of different birds coming in now as there season begins. It will be very interesting to watch the progress of the different nesting spots.
