Life after death

Canon FD 50mm f/1.4 S.S.C. (Built in 1977)
This lens was actually alive and well when I bought it overhauled, but the large amount of lubricant was blocking the diaphragm blades.
I had to remove the entire lens top, diaphragm and control plate with its spring.
The blades and mechanical parts were washed with isopropyl alcohol, then I reassembled the pieces and checked the good functioning of this superlative lens!
You can evaluate the quality of this lens yourself in the images you will find in this Gallery: https://pbase.com/bracciodiferro/wettshirt
