We have had several encounters with black bears in our neighborhood. We find them rather shy. They scatter when you make noise, but do not get between mama bear and babies. We are being advised to always leave them an opening to move away. Never ever try to feed them!!.

My first thought is ... where is maman? This young one is no ^problem, but maman is a whole other story and believe me, you better stay in your car ... you wouldn't how fast and mean and protective maman is!
