John,

Really interested in your comment regarding Leica 250s. I am compiling a web site about J Barker & Sons Ltd of Great Yarmouth who also had a number of Leica 250s. My late father in law George Meadows worked for Barkers have a look at www.greatyarmouthphotographic.co.uk/seasidephotographer
I was interested to read that the prints were made by hand on Focomats. Barkers mechanised in the 1950s and made prints with Kenprinters made by Kennington & Bourlet a subsidiary of Ilford Ltd. Have a look at another of my web sites www.greatyarmouthphotographic.co.uk/ilfordltd

Barkers like so many photofinishers made some of their own gear and had a special processor to process the long lengths of film that were used in the 250s, 33 feet of it in old mone. Do you know how Mr Wilson processed these long films?
I am not a registered user on P Base but you can contact me at paul.godfrey@ymail.com

I hope you can find the time to reply.

Best wishes

Paul Godfrey.
