Long Island Sound at Groton, CT

The film was expired 12 years. The camera setting was ISO 1200 and the film was pushed two stops in development. GRAIN!!! (But I like grain. I have a few more rolls to play with).

The pronounced grain gives this quiet view of Long Island Sound a wonderfully timeless, almost dreamlike quality. The stone pillar provides a strong anchor, while the empty benches and distant horizon evoke solitude and contemplation. The expired film and pushed development have created plenty of character — grain that truly adds to the mood rather than detracting from it. Beautifully atmospheric! V
