Taken in the evening about 10 minutes before an outdoor (open-sided tent) performance of King Lear by the Hudson Valley Shakespeare Company. The buildings of West Point are in view across the Hudson River at this beautiful overlook, the Boscobel Estate near Cold Spring. NY.
This night, the performance was graced with absolutely beautiful weather. I expected to be a bit bored because of the length and difficulty of the story. But it was terrific...the part of Lear played by the noted Shakespearean actor, Stephen Paul Johnson, was particularly noteworthy.
