The Weinstadel is a medieval building in Nuremberg that dates back to the time when the city was an Imperial Free City.
It is one of the most famous architectural landmarks in the northern part of Nuremberg's Old Town and a stop on the "Historic Mile of Nuremberg" trail.
The name *Weinstadel* (Wine Warehouse) derives from its function as a former municipal wine storehouse,
which was established on the ground floor of the main building around 1571.
