St.-Jakobskirche

view map

The impressive Gothic St. James's Church in Rothenburg ob der Tauber. Built between 1311 and 1484, it is known for its towers of unequal height.
Inside, it houses the famous Holy Blood Altar by Tilman Riemenschneider. The church is located directly on the Way of St. James, on the route to Santiago de Compostela.

Beautiful church. Makes me wonder how they constructed and installed those windows all those years ago! V
