In 2025, the Herrenchiemsee Festival will once again be dedicated to the person of King Ludwig II and the history of the island.

The Great Hall of Mirrors is a scale replica of the Hall of Mirrors at Versailles. At 98 meters long, the gallery is longer than the original at Versailles.
The 33 glass chandeliers of the Herrenchiemsee Hall of Mirrors were not present in the original at Versailles; they enhanced the splendor of Ludwig II's nightly retreats.
