In 2025, the Herrenchiemsee Festival will once again be dedicated to the person of King Ludwig II and the history of the island.
Therefore, it is our particular concern to recreate the atmosphere of that era through the intermission arrangements, the liveried staff, and much more.

The New Herrenchiemsee Palace is a UNESCO World Heritage Site since summer 2025.

King Ludwig II of Bavaria had the palace built in 1878 as a "Temple of Fame"
for the French "Sun King" Louis XIV and as a replica of the Palace of Versailles.
