Berchtesgaden und Watzmann

The Watzmann is the dominant mountain massif of the Berchtesgaden Alps and the landmark of the Berchtesgadener Land. The mountain towers imposingly above the Berchtesgaden valley basin. Not only its height of 2,713 meters, but above all its unusual shape make it so famous. According to a survey by Bergsteiger magazine, the Watzmann is the most beautiful mountain in the world.
