The Aizkorri-Aratz Natural Park is located between the provinces of Álava and Gipuzkoa. Particularly worth mentioning are the limestone mountains and the endless beech forests. The highest mountain in the Basque Country, the Aitxuri (1,551 m) is located here and a legend says that the legendary goddess Mari lives between its peaks.
