The Main loop near Volkach is one of the most scenic regions in the Franconian wine country - and certainly one of the most famous.
The river loop is located near the town of Volkach, which is why it is often referred to as the Volkacher Main loop.
The medieval town of Volkach can be described as something like the center of the region.

The view from Vogelsburg (left) of the Main loop is unique - the Main River winds its way along the valley,
countless vineyards can be seen all the way to the horizon.
