A bakehouse, also called a community bakehouse, was, as indispensable, formerly in almost every place; depending on the size of the village there were also two. Remote homesteads or mills had their own small bakehouses.

Recently, the old village bakehouses have been used in some places for tourist or village social purposes, in which "bakery festivals" take place once or several times a year. Residents bake bread and other regional baked goods, while tourists bake under supervision.
