The old building yard (on the right)- a magnificent carpenter's work from 1441 to 1443 -
is considered one of the largest and boldest wooden structures of the Middle Ages in southern Germany and far beyond. Since 1989 it has belonged to the "City Building Group" of the Franconian Open-Air Museum.
