The Kaiser-Ludwig-Brunnen is located at the eastern end of Luitpoldstraße within the listed old town of Weißenburg in Middle Franconia in Bavaria. At the fountain there is a monumental statue of Ludwig the Bavarian. The octagonal well floor is made of shell limestone. Eight pillars with grimacing masks as gargoyles carry a round bowl from which a square, curved pillar grows. Over two gargoyles in the shape of a deer and boar head, the coat of arms, dedication and statue of the king follow. The capital bears three tritons and a mermaid in strong reliefs and above it the bronze figure of King Ludwig the Bavarian.
