The beautiful town house is located in the center of the city next to the St. Gumbertus Church. Since it is a very decorative building, you might think that it is the town hall. But it is not the case. It was built in the 16th century and served as a district court. Today the seat of the mayor and the city council is located here. Next to the town house is the white and red town hall. You can recognize it right away by the beautiful gable and the inscription "Hof- und Ratsapotheke". The town hall was built around the same time as the town house, but it was designed much more simply than its neighbor.
