The wide Karlsplatz is a relatively new facility in Ansbach. The buildings around the square were planned as early as the 17th century, but were not built until almost a hundred years later.
Today the city library, the city archive and the cultural center are located in the beautiful baroque houses. Even the police own one of these decorative buildings.
