Erected in 1611 under Bishop Johann Konrad von Gemmingen. The sandstone pillar is triple, tapering towards the top, set off and crowned by a square corner column with four well-preserved and expressive half-reliefs: the flagellation and crowning of thorns of Christ, the carrying of the cross, the crucifixion and the three weeping women and the resurrection. Above the image of the crucifixion are the coats of arms of the bishop and the city, underneath, under the cornice, the year 1611 with the stonemason's mark. A wrought-iron Greek cross forms the end of the approximately three-meter-high stone column.
