The court facades of the castle wings and the gate tower were decorated around 1499 with unusually rich architectural and illusion paintings. The windows are framed by magnificent eyelashes with crab and cross flower decoration. From the facades apparently numerous - larger and smaller - coat of arms decorated oriels before. As executive master of the Hechinger painter Fidelis Eichele is suspected.
