Tak

Tak

Tak was a historical kingdom built over 2,000 years ago, even before the Sukhothai period. The ancient kingdom had its peak during around 1st century. By the 5th century the capital of this kingdom was move south to Lavo (present day Lopburi Province).

Tak is not particularly interesting Thai province except as a point from which to visit the border town of Thailand-Myanmar namely Mae Sod. From here and around travellers may find themselves almost like travel in Myanmar instead of Thailand whereby most of the sellers are Burmese.

Do pay a visit to one of the Mae Sod famous restaurant Khao Mao Khao Fah Restaurant. It was being told usually visited by many Thais top-level people such as was once visited by the Thai Prime Minister. This restaurant was built in the tropical jungle concept. It almost took 5 years to grow all the trees and plants as an art of architecture to its restaurant. Great and cozy place to chat, to relax and to enjoy with a delicious food with reasonable price.
