new bark

One of the Sydney regions most distinctive trees is the Smooth-barked Apple (Angophora Costata), also called Sydney Red Gum. It's pink twisted branches can be seen on many sandstone hillsides in our area. Spring sees the trees shedding their old bark, which curls off the tree and covers the ground below.

Nice shot.
You shold do more macros of bark.
