Chitwan National Park

Please refer to the prior image of the two young ladies.

Chitwan National Park is a preserved area in the Terai Lowlands of south-central Nepal, known for its biodiversity. Its dense forests and grassy plains are home to rare mammals like one-horned rhinos and Bengal tigers. The park shelters numerous bird species, including the giant hornbill. Dugout canoes traverse the northern Rapti River, home to crocodiles. Inside the park is Balmiki Ashram, a Hindu pilgrimage site.

Ever wonder why India has elephants, tigers, crocodiles and rhinos? Well as was explained at one of the Nepal museums, about 100 million years ago India was located near South Africa. When it moved up on a plate to Asia it slammed into it, and formed the mountains that are the highest on our planet.

Very nice capture, from the vehicle I presume. I didn't know that factoid about the distribution of animal life. Thanks for sharing. V
