Nagol (also spelled Naghol or N'gol) occurs in April and May each year in many villages in South Pentecost in conjunction with the yam harvest.
I experienced the land-diving in two villages. In the first one everything went as expected, but in the second village (Londot) tragedy struck as the tower collapsed, killed one person and injured 4 others. This was the first time ever that a Nagol tower has falled down.
