I was lucky to get a very low tide when I visted Kilve Beach. This part of the English Channel near Watchet has a 9 metre tidal range, and I visited only a few minutes after low tide according to tide tables (it's a new moon which also helps!). Living locally I have visited before, but for anyone who likes to photograph coastal rock formations this is well worth a visit.
The geology consists of limestone pavement and blue lias. There are also fossils to be seen.
Fantastic pictures Adrian. I've never been to that country. Now I want to. Thanks for sharing.

This is the Kilve I remembered from being there on a residential course at 14. We turned up last Tuesday evening as I wanted to show my husband and it wasnt looking very impressive at all! He couldnt see at all what I was going on about. Oh well!

Loved these pictures of my favourite beach. They are an inspiration for my work as a jeweller
