These pictures were taken during an escorted, 9 day rail tour of Switzerland (the 'Classic Glacier Express') in late May/early June 2007.
For the first part of our tour, we stayed at the Simplon Hotel in Brig for 4 nights. Day excursions from Brig were made to:
- Gornergrat (3,089M/10,132 ft ASL)
- Lake Thun, Interlaken and Berne (in the rain!)
- across the Centivalli to Locarno on Lake Maggiore.
