Boat Trip to the Farne Islands

The Farne Islands are located just off the coast in Northumberland. They are important nature reserves for more than 20 species of seabirds and thousands of Grey Seals and are therefore a popular tourist attraction, particularly in the breeding seasons. The islands are uninhabited, except for National Trust wardens during the summer months. Visitors are only able to land on two of them, one in the morning and the other in the afternoon in order to minimise disturbance to nesting birds.
