M101 is a splendid face on spiral galaxy in the constellation Ursa Major.
I've found it to be the most difficult Messier object to image so far!

ED80 and WO stageII 0.8 FF/FR
CGE mount ST-4 guided
Modified 350XT and IR/UV cut filter
90* 240 second 800 iso sub exposures
30 flat 15 dark and 30 bias calibration frames
Seeing average, transparency above average, LVM 4.7
