Dickcissels in Clinton County, PA, plus Seasonal bird photos
Here are some photos of the Dickcissels that have been observed in Clinton County during July 2017. I photographed the birds on July 1st and then again on July 3rd. The Dickcissels did nest successfully, and when I returned to the area on July 30, 2017, I was able to photograph some of fledglings. Dickcissels are usually found in grassy fields and tall grass prairies throughout the plains states, but on rare occasions found in grassy areas in Pennsylvania.
I have also included some photos of Song Sparrow, Chipping Sparrow, Indigo Bunting, Cedar Waxwing and Black and White Warbler and a few more.
