three individual birds now...will try again Sunday April 29th...wind could be a factor but will get some exercise...try not to do like Tripp...although I did slip on rocks Friday...followed wrong bird around on Friday...Yellow-throated Warbler...maybe better luck today. bob
today I got to Park Chalk Bluff at 7 am and I was joined by a gal from Mass. I asked her if she heard any owls...she said she slept with earplugs...too windy last night for birds but today settled a little...we walked 200 yards to the reeds...I told her that bird can sound like a chipping sparrow...of course the first birds in were...chipping sparrows...then I heard what I thought was a common yellowthroat...I played tape and in came the rufous-capped warbler...insulted...he stayed an instant five feet from me...with my cataracks I'm not seeing anything...much less driving...but the bird flew close and I took some pictures...glorious morning...love when a plan comes to flu whatever that word is... :>)
