Papua New Guinea

After a 16.5 hour flight from Los Angeles, the adventure started with an overnight stay in Singapore. We spent the afternoon and part of the next morning in the Botanical Gardens.

Singapore to Port Morsbey, PNG was a quick 5 hour overnight flight. The morning was spent at the Airways hotel wating for our 6pm flight to Alotau. The flight was cancelled. Overnight stay at Loloata Resort. Up at 3:30am back to airport for 6am flight. This flight was posponed to 10am, finally getting away around 10:30am.

From the Alotau airport, it was an 1.5 hour bus ride and 20 minute boat ride to get us to Tawali resort. After a quick lunch we were off to dive. Five days and 19 dives later we finished the week with a visit to the skull caves and a local village. Then back on the boat and then the bus to catch our flight back to Port Morsbey and an overnight stay.

The next morning we were back to the airport for flight to Goroka and the Sing-Sing Festival
