These photos were taken on White Mountain Apache Tribal Land. From the (5000 ft. elevation) plateau along route 73 into the high country (8500-9500 ft. elevation) off routes 260, 273 and 373. While I was late for most of the fall color from the Aspens (among the pines), there were a few areas where the trees hung on to thier leaves. There were patches of snow on the ground from the first "winter" storm that passed through 4 days ago. This is an area filled with spectacular views of the mountains and small lakes in the region.
