Holiday Lights, Rainy Night, Sets Color On The Run
The Sunday night forecast was for a cold steady rain, which would be perfect. The cold and rain would keep people indoors, yet provide a reflective surfaces for the Christmas light display at the Arizona Center in downtown Phoenix. With my umbrella, and cold wet weather gear loaded in the truck, I headed downtown.
I spent two hours capturing images......exactly what I had hoped for. The reflections of the lights on the pooled water on the wet surfaces looked like bright neon paint under a black light.
I hope you enjoy these images as much as I did shooting them.....But then again, when you live in the desert, a rainy day is always a gift.
