Desert Wildflowers

These photos were taken March 16, at the Phoenix Desert Botanical Gardens. While it is a bit early in the year for the cactus to bloom (they are just beginning), the wildflowers are out in force. With all the recent rainfall, it looks to be a good season in the wild. There are 20 John Waddell bronze sculptures on display throughout the garden.

Hi Dave,

That is rare the Crested Saguaro, about 30 feet tall. most likely over 70 years old. Much more common is the growth of arms.
